"Buttercream Basics for Beginners"
Learn the art and enjoyment of decorating your own cake & cupcakes!
In this hands on course we will introduce you to the wonderful world of buttercream. In this class you will be using American Buttercream (vegan) to learn beginner friendly piping techniques on cupcakes and cakes - as well as how to professionally stack and ice a cake with filling.
Products you will be decorating & taking home with you:
-An 8 inch 2 layer cake (with cake box) - your choice of cake & filling flavour
-12 x large cupcakes (with cupcake box) - your choice of up to 3 cake base flavours
You can select your flavour choices below when booking in. Please let us know when booking if you would like your products to be vegan - all flavours with (v) can be made vegan.
**Please note this class is not suitable for food allergies due to the possibility of cross contamination with other student’s products.**
$200 per person. Full payment is required to book in your position in this class. Bookings cannot be held without full payment. If you are unable to attend for any reason after making your payment, you will be able to switch your booking to a future class instead. This class is non-refundable.
Closed shoes and tied back hair are required. Bringing along your own fun unique apron to wear during the class is recommended.
Students must be at least 12 years of age. Beyond this any ages are welcome to join!
Booking as a group:
We recommend booking with a friend to help you feel more confident and comfortable during the class - especially for younger students. Although individuals are definitely more than welcome! We strive to have a welcoming and supportive environment to all. Please be aware that limited capacity may not allow for larger groups. Message us with your number of people and we can check our availability for you.
For a 1pm start time we recommend eating lunch before you come to class. We have a variety of cold drinks available during class for you free of charge.
At this current time classes will be held at our licensed home at 4 Tangerine Street, Alfredton. This kitchen is licensed under the Ballarat Council. Please be mindful this venue is also our private residence. Care has been taken to create a welcoming & professional environment for you to learn and create in. Toilets are available to you if needed - just let us know if you need to take a break from the class at any point. Ample street parking is available - please be respectful of neighbouring residences/driveways.
